Bob Vandenberg • Besides there are intangibles which folks can get, such as recognition, acknowledgement, kudos, etc. which you can use as means of trying to motivate them. Yeah, they have jobs for life and their bonuses are assured, but they do have egos also. Work towards that as a motivator.
@Bob V - Absolutely brilliant; managing human behaviour on projects is the key. Ego management can be a good entry point to breaking down problems on no win project scenarios. This is a pseudoscience of sorts but I believe it needs to be in the Project Manager’s toolkit
